I learned plenty of valuable lessons this week-end, and decided to share them with you, my gentle readers:

Lesson 1: when arriving late at a party, be aware that some people may already have had a few drinks and don't necessarily remember they have a half-full glass of red wine still in their hand.
Lesson 2: french people talk with their hands a lot. And can get animated.
Lesson 3: hone your reflex skills, grasshopper.
Lesson 4: when you wear your favorite shirt at a hawaiian party, even one big lei is not enough to protect it all.
Lesson 5: it's not exactly the best idea in the world to handle bleach first thing out of bed.
Lesson 6: liquids actually don't need mentos to jump up at impressive heights; all it takes is the right shape and aperture of bottle, the right height and inclination of dropping it, and a strict application of the laws of physics.
Lesson 7: when you have a full day of fun activities planned ahead, better leave the chores until AFTER the hot date.
Lesson 8: when you remember the name of the ER staff from your previous visit, maybe it's time to play cautious for a while...
Lesson 9: when trying to save your favorite white shirt with concentrated bleach, and unless you set out to create a whole new form of modern art, do not wear your favorite (and most colorful) indian garb for the task.

The funny thing is, all in all it was a pretty good week-end for me!
